With the fast growth of gated communities, luxury apartments and townships in India, internal transport has become a major problem. As a result, electric golf carts are chosen by communities to reduce long walking distances for children and elderly people.
The most popular golf cart among societies is the 6-seater golf cart. A 6-seater cart can easily move six adults around, including a driver. It comes in two variants, which are all forward seats and 4 forward + 2 rear seats.
Why gated communities require electric golf carts
Gated communities required carts for the movement of community members, for material handling and for the use of security staff.
These carts are significant when it comes to moving elderly people, as sometimes it is hard for elderly people to walk long distances.
Many societies use these carts for patrolling purposes. In addition, at the time of emergency, a golf cart helps in a big way.
As a golf cart is an LSV (light vehicle), it is safe for internal transport. One doesn’t have to always go by their car or motorbike for small purposes.
Another major advantage is their eco-friendly nature.
Which golf carts are best for gated communities?
Mainly a 6-seater golf cart is popular among residential communities. It can easily accommodate 6 adults and can have space for luggage.
However, large societies go for 8-seater golf carts. These carts can run up to 60 km* on one charge, which is good for internal transport.
Moreover, they can get fully charged within 5 hrs* (lithium-ion-operated cart).
